New Locations in Missouri, Oregon and Colorado!

Summer is here and The Human Bean is busy bringing delicious drinks and positive vibes to new places this season!

St Joe

St. Joseph, Missouri is OPEN & looking GREAT

Just this month we’ve opened two new locations in St. Joseph, Missouri and Newport, Oregon. We have another location opening soon¬†in beautiful Loveland, Colorado too. If you are lucky enough to be a frequent visitor to any of these cities, be sure to take note of their addresses. The next time you’re in the area, swing by for a delicious drink and give a warm welcome to¬†the newest addition to¬†our Human Bean family.

Monday, June 20th, marked the 1st day of Summer and the opening day for the first Human Bean in our ninth state, Missouri! Located conveniently off HWY 169 at 4414 Commons Dr., The Human Bean of St. Joseph features a jaw-dropping double-sided drive-thru design and is now open from 5am to 9pm daily.

Like many franchisees, St. Joe franchisee, Erin Albright-Milek, first fell in love with The Human Bean after stumbling upon one while visiting central Oregon. The amazing experience she had at the Human Bean location in Albany, OR stuck with her and she knew she had to learn more.

So many SMILES on opening day!

After visiting additional locations and researching¬†more about the brand, she realized¬†The Human Bean Franchise offered something special. She was impressed by the qualified barista who took her order,¬†the extensive product offerings and exceptional drink quality she received. Additionally, the seamless drive-thru design added convenience to her experience that is unparalleled to conventional sit-down cafes. ‚ÄúWe want to offer the same great experience in our area,‚ÄĚ said Albright-Milek.

Newport

The Newport, OR team is ready to serve you!

Almost 2000 miles west of St. Joseph, another Human Bean location opened its doors along the Oregon Coast in Newport, Oregon! The Human Bean of Newport celebrated their grand opening with the friendly Newport community on Wednesday, June 8th.

Newport’s tight-knit community is what attracted Human Bean franchisee, Troy Haugen, to this region. This gorgeous¬†coastal city offers lots of natural beauty, outdoor activities, an appreciation for arts and “some of the most friendly people around,” said Haugen.

Haugen is excited to establish Human Bean¬†in the Newport community with future plans of opening more¬†locations along the coast. “We all deserve a good quality cup of coffee,” said Haugen.

Loveland2

Loveland marks drive-thru location #7 in Northern Colorado!

Last, but certainly not least, The Human Bean of Northern Colorado is bringing delicious drinks and exceptional service to the beautiful city of Loveland, Colorado!

Located at 6180 Crossroads Blvd, just East of Hwy 25, The Human Bean of Loveland marks the 7th Human Bean location in Northern Colorado and features a double-sided drive thru, large awnings and a spacious walk-up area. This location opened their doors on Saturday, July 2nd.

Follow The Human Bean of Northern Colorado on¬†Facebook¬†for updates on what city they’ll bring The Bean to¬†next!

The Human Bean expects to continue growing through approved franchisees that align with our brand and share the same commitment to our goals. For more information about The Human Bean franchise opportunities, check out our Franchise Page.

Celebrating Earth Day with Reusable Bags

Friday, April 22nd marks Earth Day 2016.

In celebration of Earth Day, we are giving customers complimentary reusable shopping bags with their drink purchase that day while supplies last. Check with your favorite location for participation.

From shopping to groceries, you’ll love finding new ways to reuse your bag! And you’ll feel good using an eco-friendly bag vs disposable, single-use, plastic ones!

Over the years, The Human Bean has provided customers with over 80,000 reusable bags on Earth Day. Just think of the thousands of plastic bags we saved by making this small change!

Because supplies are limited, bags will be given on a first come, first serve basis on Earth Day (limit 2 bags per vehicle). Most Human Bean locations are participating, but check-in with your favorite stand before Earth Day to be sure.

Visit our Facebook Earth Day Event Page for more info & updates and join the event for a notification reminder the morning of Earth Day.

See you at The Human Bean for delicious drinks & reusable bags on Earth Day! (4/22)

Opening Soon in Missouri!

With a passion¬†for creating happy people and our love of coffee, we opened our first drive-thru espresso stand in Ashland Oregon in 1998. The demand for The Human Bean’s convenient, consistent and customer focused¬†brand¬†grew and soon after opening in¬†Ashland, we expanded to surrounding cities in Oregon and steadily grew to¬†nearby¬†states.

This season, we are excited to announce that we are bringing The Human Bean to state number 9 with the opening of our 58th location in St. Joseph, Missouri!

Missouri

Located along the Missouri River and about 60 miles north of Kansas City, St. Joseph is rich with history and home to almost 80,000 residents. Among those residing in St. Joseph is HB franchisee, Erin Albright-Milek.

Albright-Milek discovered The Human Bean while vacationing in Albany, OR. She fell in love with the¬†brand and was impressed by the qualified¬†baristas that took her order. Once she tasted¬†her Snowy Mocha and The Human Bean’s signature chocolate covered espresso bean on top, she was hooked!

After visiting additional¬†locations and learning more about the¬†brand, Albright-Milek discovered¬†The Human Bean Franchise offered something special.¬†The fun atmosphere and positive spirit demonstrated by the baristas was contagious and “we¬†want to¬†offer the¬†same great experience in our area,”¬†said¬†Albright-Milek.

In addition, The Human Bean’s focus on community involvement excited and inspired¬†Albright-Milek. Since 2002, The Human Bean’s largest annual fundraiser, Coffee for A Cure, has raised over $850,000 for local breast health centers. Along with her interest in participating in Coffee for A Cure, “we’d like to show support for other organizations in our immediate area as well,” said¬†Albright-Milek.

Albright-Milek and her team are working hard to open their first stand on 4414 Commons Drive in St. Joseph by early March. Once they become great at what they do and establish The Human Bean within the St. Joseph community, they plan to eventually expand the brand to the Kansas City area.

The Human Bean expects to continue this growth through approved franchisees that share the same determination and commitment to our goals for this exceptional brand. If you are interested in learning more about The Human Bean franchise opportunities in areas that remain available for development, please refer to the Franchise page.

Cheers to Years of Coffee & Community

There’s so much to be excited about¬†this summer at The Human Bean! Many of our Human Bean locations are celebrating¬†business anniversaries by¬†giving back to the most important aspect of their business, the customers they serve of course!

grants pass

All¬†three Grants Pass, Oregon locations celebrated their second year¬†of ownership on July 1st. Promoting their anniversary as Customer Appreciation Day, The Human Bean of Grants Pass was beyond¬†excited¬†to recognize their loyal¬†customers and the feeling was mutual. Grants Pass customers¬†were happy to celebrate this day with their favorite baristas around. A regular customer from¬†Grants Pass ¬†commented on Facebook, “Thanks for the great service and for¬†always remembering my drink order even before I get there!” Congratulations on the anniversary Grants Pass!

Also to celebrate noteworthy¬†anniversaries this summer is The Human Bean of Lake Havasu City, Arizona and The Human Bean of Seaside, Oregon. The northern Lake Havasu City location is thankful¬†for 10 great years and can’t wait to celebrate such a milestone with their recently opened 2nd¬†location on the south-side of town.

The Human Bean of Seaside celebrates 8 wonderful years mid August this year. Seaside franchisees couldn’t be prouder of the community involvement they’ve established in Seaside and are bringing their same lively spirit to their Warrenton location which¬†opened last October.¬†‚ÄúWe try to separate ourselves by really standing out as a supporter of the community,” said Seaside franchisee. Another successful year in business proves their efforts are appreciated, congratulations Seaside!

Giving Back in Treasure Valley

For the third year in a row, Treasure Valley Human Bean locations raised funds and awareness for a local and worthy children’s cause¬†called the¬†Jayden DeLuca Foundation!

donation totalThe Cause
The Jayden DeLuca Foundation was established in 2008 in honor of Jayden Riley DeLuca, a 2 1/2 year old little girl who passed away due to a cardiac condition. Her parents, Jeremy and Karalie Deluca, believe that Jayden made such a positive impact on the world and it is only fitting that The Jayden DeLuca Foundation do the same in her honor.

On Friday, June 26th, all 5 Human Bean locations in the Treasure Valley region donated 30% of their daily SALES, not just proceeds, to the Jayden DeLuca Foundation. The donations raised by this event will provide support and technological progress in the development of pediatric heart conditions. Thank you to all who supported Jayden DeLuca Foundation by generously donating or purchasing a tasty beverage on June 26th. Mochas for Men

MFM sm poster2 (1)At the Human Bean, we are passionate about creating happy Human Beans. Each drink on our menu is crafted from the best ingredients and served by talented and friendly baristas. To top it off, the Human Bean believes in doing good both globally and locally. Our passion for giving back to the communities we serve inspired us to create the 1st annual Mochas for Men.

On Friday, Nov. 21st, EVERY mocha enjoyed helped¬†support local men’s health. For every mocha purchased, the Human Bean pledged to donate $1 toward providing screening and follow up care to men in the communities we serve. Together, our wonderful customers enjoyed over 5300 mochas and we raised over $5300 to support men’s health!

In anticipation for the big day,¬†we featured 2 delicious mochas all November called “the Gent” and “the Lumberjack”.¬†The Gent mocha was¬†inspired by delicious¬†chocolate turtles and it’s recipe called for sweet praline & caramel flavors.¬†The Lumberjack resembled a peanut butter cup and combined¬†creamy peanut butter and rich chocolate. Our customers loved both the Gent and the Lumberjack and we received countless raves about how good¬†they tasted. Don’t worry, these¬†mochas are still available to order if you missed them last month!

baristas

The day of Mochas for Men was incredibly rewarding and fun. Our customers showed their overwhelming support by treating themselves and their loved ones to yummy mochas all day. Also, many of our baristas  dressed up and decorated cups to make the event fun and help spread the word.

Thank you to everyone involved in making our 1st annual Mochas for Men a success. Your support makes it possible for us to give back and make a difference in the communities we serve. Just another reason the Human Bean is more than just great coffee.
