Two new Human Bean Locations to open and be the first in their states of Ohio & Texas!

We are so excited we are able to continue growing and adding to the Human Bean family with new locations opening all over the US every month this year! Our newest drive-thru coffee franchise locations will be located in Canton, Ohio and Odessa, Texas.

New Location to open in Canton, Ohio on March, 7th!

Partners in this location are Southern Oregon Owners, Moni Peterson & Dr. Mark Peterson along with Moni’s brother, Ron Watson, who lives in Canton. Ron says they had been brainstorming on a franchise company to open in Southern Oregon for years but nothing had proved to be that appealing. One day on his annual summer visit to the Rogue Valley they were sitting outside a Human Bean drive-thru coffee location talking while drinking their Human Bean coffee and it dawned on them that maybe it would be a good idea to instead open a franchise in Canton, Ohio and be the first to bring the Human Bean brand to the state. It turned out Dr. Mark Peterson had gone to school with one of the founders of Human Bean and after getting in touch and learning more about the franchise, and meeting the other owners, the rest is history!
Choosing the location proved to be just as effortless. A small green square of land in the middle of a popular shopping Plaza had just been listed and met all the criteria. Ron thinks it will be a great location because of all the traffic. There are 3 entrances/exits, 1 with a traffic light, it is less than 1 mile from the Expressway and 24,000 cars pass by this location every day. Inside the Plaza is one of the most active Planet Fitness locations in Ohio, as well as a Sky Zone Jump center and many other attractions.
Ron has a background in Sales & Marketing & Graphic Art which will prove to be an asset in running a Human Bean franchise location. They have plans to open 2 or 3 or maybe even more locations in the area in the near future. Currently, they are looking at a location in Alliance, about 15 miles away and also have their eyes on a couple of locations in North Canton about 5 miles away.
Ron says the process of working with the Human Bean to open his first franchise has been great. “A potential franchise owner called me for a referral the other day and I had nothing but good things to say,” he says.
New Location to open in Odessa, Texas in April

Owner Maurice Torano sums it up perfectly by saying, “At Human Bean, it’s about the customer – it’s that simple and appealing!” Maurice says he always admired the Human Bean, but didn’t really know much about them. Upon learning more, he says, “Human Bean matches my style and values so much better than the other franchises.” He finds this to be the main difference that sets the Human Bean apart, “The customer service ethos is unmatched! It’s not about how to order, how to pronounce something, how cool the barista is or how urbane and up-to-the second their image is, it’s about the customer.”
Maurice’s background is in commercial and real estate development in and around Southern Oregon and Northern California. When the real-estate market was hit in 2007, he found his way to North Dakota and re-invented himself in the oil and gas world, managing large scale projects for two major oil and gas service companies, eventually landing in West Texas. Upon moving to Midland-Odessa in late 2012 he immediately noticed there were only 2-3 Starbucks for a population of over 300,000 people and saw the need for a drive-thru coffee franchise like the Human Bean.
Maurice is looking to open his first franchise location in Odessa on East University Boulevard, in early April. He plans to open additional locations in Midland and Odessa before years end.
At the Human Bean we are thrilled to introduce ourselves to the states of Ohio and Texas! To learn more about becoming a franchise owner and bringing the Human Bean to your area, visit our website at: https://thehumanbean.com/franchise/

Sneak Preview’s Best of Medford Poll votes the Human Bean Favorite Place to get Coffee & Favorite Barista of Medford!!!

We are so proud and grateful that the people of Medford have spoken and voted the Human Bean as their Favorite Place to get Coffee in Medford AND also gave the Favorite Barista award to our very own, Justine. The Sneak Preview has been conducting the very popular Best of Medford poll for years now and we all look forward to it each year for the recommendations on best places to do business and where to eat and drink within our local community.
The Sneak Preview is one print publication that locals look forward to reading! This upbeat & lively publication has been resting on coffee tables for over 26 years…with a circulation of nearly 100,000 copies a month, the Sneak Preview has a very large voice in our community and we are thrilled that their readers have voted for the Human Bean!
Let us tell you a little bit about Justine, voted Favorite Barista in Medford. She has worked for the Human Bean for 6 years and is currently the Manager of the Rossanley location. Justine grew up in the Rogue Valley and enjoys the outdoors by hiking, rock climbing and doing yoga in her free time. When asked what her favorite part of the job is she says, “The customers, the girls, the coffee! It’s fun to work here; we get to make coffee and talk to people all day and there isn’t anything better than that!” We are so happy to have her as part of our Human Bean team!

And in case you don’t know…here is just a little bit about The Human Bean.
With a passion for creating happy people and our love of coffee, we opened our first drive-thru espresso stand in Ashland Oregon in 1998. The demand for convenient, quality coffee & espresso grew and soon after opening our original location in Ashland, we expanded to surrounding cities in Southern Oregon. The Human Bean quickly established a reputation for having friendly and experienced baristas (just like Justine!) and offering the highest quality ingredients.
Our commitment to developing the best drive-thru espresso led us to franchising The Human Bean’s brand and system in 2002. We are proud to announce that The Human Bean has expanded to 65 locations in nine states. We expect to continue this growth through approved franchisees that share the same determination and commitment to our goals for this exceptional brand.

Come visit one of our many locations in the Rogue Valley today to see for your selves what everyone is talking about! We have a full menu of espresso drinks, smoothies, RockStars, and more with monthly specials to look forward to and punch cards to earn free drinks! We thank all of you for your business and look forward to continuing to serve you quality coffee with a smile! www.thehumanbean.com

Supporting Local & Global Communities

Giving back is important to The Human Bean.
From sponsorship to event involvement to donation days, our team is committed to making a positive impact in the communities we serve locally and globally.

The Human Bean of Treasure Valley held a donation day benefiting a local and worthy children’s cause called the Jayden DeLuca Foundation, on Friday, June 24th. This year marked the 4th annual Jayden DeLuca Fundraiser and all five Human Bean locations in Treasure Valley participated by encouraging customer donations and donating 30% of their daily sales directly to the cause.

The donations raised by this event will support technological progress in the development of pediatric heart conditions. Thank you to all who supported the Jayden DeLuca Foundation by generously donating or purchasing a tasty beverage in Treasure Valley on June 24th.

We are proud to recognize another Human Bean region in Northern Colorado who is giving back in big ways both locally and globally.

The Human Bean of Northern Colorado hosts many “Guest Barista Days” where members of the community join the baristas in the stands and interact directly with customers to promote their cause. In addition to encouraging customer donations, The Human Bean of Northern Colorado gives 10% of their daily sales to the guest barista. They hosted one of their very own managers as a Guest Barista in support of her recent trip to an orphanage in Haiti on Thursday, June 23, at their location in Evans, Colorado.

Read more about her eye-opening experience here: My Trip to Haiti…

The Human Bean of Northern Colorado encouraged customers to donate basic medical supplies that they would send to the orphanage in Haiti where their manager visited. A HUGE thank you to everyone who donated! Because of you, The Human Bean of Northern Colorado was able to provide a large donation of medial supplies to support children in Haiti.

New Caldwell Location is Turning Heads

The Human Bean of Treasure Valley introduces a 4th stand in Caldwell, Idaho this month. Since their grand opening on July 10th, the Caldwell community has been enjoying The Human Bean’s delicious drinks, friendly atmosphere and head turning building design.

Caldwell is a western city in Idaho with almost 50,000 residents, all of whom can appreciate a good cup of coffee. Human Bean franchisee, Alex Furioso, said, “Caldwell is an awesome growing city. They have done nothing but welcome us with open arms.” The new Caldwell location demonstrates The Human Bean’s mission of delivering quality products with exceptional customer service. “We are happy to be here, and happy to give them a great product,” said Alex.

Along with offering quality products and great service, the Human Bean of Caldwell’s eye catching curb appeal is unique from the typical Human Bean location. “We wanted a building design that catches people’s attention,” said Alex, “A design that makes them stop and look because it has never been done before.” With recycled barn wood and copper pitched roofs as inspiration, the Human Bean of Caldwell stands out and demands a double-take from the street.

The Human Bean team sends our warmest congratulations to Alex on successfully opening another Human Bean location. We look forward to growing with Alex and the awesome Human Bean Baristas in Caldwell and throughout Canyon and ADA Counties.
