Human Bean Tennis Sponsorship Supports Community

A recent Human Bean tennis sponsorship of the 19th annual Tennis Championships was held at the Rogue Valley Swim and Tennis Club.  The tournament was on June 12-14, 2015. The Tennis Championships is a community fundraising event dedicated to supporting children in the community of Jackson County.

In fact, ALL profits raised from this event were donated to a local non-profit, Parks & Recreation Foundation. This worthy foundation supports enrichment programs for youth and adults.  Additionally it aids in the development of community projects and parks. The money raised from the Tennis Championships will be specifically given as sports scholarships to local children.  These children would otherwise be unable to participate in these programs.

About the Human Bean

With a passion for creating happy people and our love of coffee, we opened our first drive-thru espresso stand in Ashland Oregon in 1998. The demand for convenient, quality coffee & espresso grew.  Soon after opening our original location in Ashland, we expanded to surrounding cities in Southern Oregon. The Human Bean quickly established a reputation for having friendly and experienced baristas and offering the highest quality ingredients.

The Human Bean believes in giving back to the communities they serve and plan on sponsoring additional fundraising events benefiting local residents in the future.

Mochas for Men

Mochas for Men Donates Locally for Men’s Health

Our passion for giving back to the communities we serve inspired us to create the 1st annual Mochas for Men. At the Human Bean, we are passionate about creating happy Human Beans. Each drink on our menu is crafted from the best ingredients and served by talented and friendly baristas. To top it off, the Human Bean believes in doing good both globally and locally.

On Friday, Nov. 21st, EVERY mocha enjoyed helped¬†support local men’s health. For every mocha purchased, the Human Bean pledged to donate $1 toward providing screening and follow up care to men in the communities we serve. Together, our wonderful customers enjoyed over 5300 mochas and we raised over $5300 to support men’s health!

In anticipation for the big day,¬†we featured 2 delicious mochas all November called “the Gent” and “the Lumberjack”.¬†The Gent mocha was¬†inspired by delicious¬†chocolate turtles and it’s recipe called for sweet praline & caramel flavors.¬†The Lumberjack resembled a peanut butter cup and combined¬†creamy peanut butter and rich chocolate. Our customers loved both the Gent and the Lumberjack and we received countless raves about how good¬†they tasted. Don’t worry, these¬†mochas are still available to order if you missed them last month!

baristas

The day of Mochas for Men was incredibly rewarding and fun. Our customers showed their overwhelming support by treating themselves and their loved ones to yummy mochas all day. Also, many of our baristas  dressed up and decorated cups to make the event fun and help spread the word.

Thank you to everyone involved in making our 1st annual Mochas for Men a success. Your support makes it possible for us to give back and make a difference in the communities we serve. Just another reason the Human Bean is more than just great coffee.

Holiday Cheer | The Human Bean

This holiday season The Human Bean served up holiday cheer. Baristas participated in the Annual Greystone Court/Access can food drive in Medford, Oregon. The night before Christmas eve we served 20 gallons of chocolate milk. Thanks to Umpqua Dairy for helping to provide the milk. We were able to serve Hot Cocoa to those donating to the cause. Families and friends checked out the brightly decorated street, our baristas warmed their hearts and bellies with holiday cheer! Check out pictures of the event below.

Holiday Lights Light the Way to Giving

Greystone Court has long held the tradition of lighting the way to community giving. Canned goods are donated to our local community while everyone enjoys the lights. Consequently everyone helps feed the hungry in the community. Holiday spirit is felt throughout the court!

Access is a local organization that provides food, housing, warmth and essential services to low income individuals and families. Residents in Jackson County have been served by Access since 1976.

Greystone Court

Greystone is not the only event that The Human Bean and Access work together. Since 2010 The Human Bean has held an annual food drive that benefits Access. The event is held in August because this is typically the time of year that donations are at the lowest point.
