Another New Location Opens in Lake Havasu, AZ – The Human Bean shows no Signs of Slowing Down!

Coffee consumption continues to grow, but this is not the black drip coffee of the past! One third of the population drinks a gourmet coffee or espresso beverage each day and drive-thru options only continue to grow in popularity due to our fast paced and on-the-go lifestyles. Although in a hurry, consumers are not willing to sacrifice quality for convenience which makes The Human Bean’s award winning Farm-Friendly Direct coffee and high quality products the perfect combination.
Headquartered in Oregon, The Human Bean has opened six new coffee franchises in the past six months in five different states (Missouri, Oregon, Idaho, Colorado & Arizona). The latest of which was the third location to open in the Lake Havasu area November, 14th. This location brought the total Human Bean count to 64.havasu-pic
Brian & Juls Baumkirchner, owners of all three Havasu locations, said they came into the role of Human Bean Franchisee when they took over the first location at 633 North Lake Havasu Avenue in 2007. The Baumkirchners saw the potential for this location to be the bustling coffee drive-thru destination that it is today. Their other two locations are on South McCulloch and now North Palo Verde on Highway 95. Between the three locations they are able to provide employment for 30 employees plus 1 handyman, 1 machine maintenance person and 1 bookkeeper.
Brain Baumkirchner said they chose this new location because many of their customers had constantly asked for it. “The North side of town doesn’t have very many business establishments for the residents and tourists alike. Additionally this location has higher traffic when compared to the two other locations.” Couple that with the fact that it has a double drive through and ample vehicle cueing; it is designed to provide the very best customer experience.
The Baumkirchners also have letters of intent for additional locations signed in nearby cities. Baumkirchner credits this growth to the brand supporting their franchisees and says, “The Human Bean Team has become like a family for us.” Human Bean co-founder, Dan Hawkins, states “Brian and Juls are phenomenal operators and it is a joy to get to work with them. They have a passion for creating the very best customer experience and the results are really something special!”
Baumkirchner sums it up nicely when he says, “It’s amazing to be a part of a quality brand and system that grew to 3 stores with proper management. Like I always tell people, ‘If the coffee wasn’t superior and service was sub-par, we wouldn’t exist!’”
The kind of growth Baumkirchner has experienced speaks for the brand as a whole and the Human Bean shows no signs of slowing down on growth with plans to open at least 19 more franchise locations by the end of 2017 throughout the US bringing the total to 82.human-bean-havasu-3

Cheers to Years of Coffee & Community

There’s so much to be excited about this summer at The Human Bean! Many of our Human Bean locations are celebrating business anniversaries by giving back to the most important aspect of their business, the customers they serve of course!

grants pass

All three Grants Pass, Oregon locations celebrated their second year of ownership on July 1st. Promoting their anniversary as Customer Appreciation Day, The Human Bean of Grants Pass was beyond excited to recognize their loyal customers and the feeling was mutual. Grants Pass customers were happy to celebrate this day with their favorite baristas around. A regular customer from Grants Pass  commented on Facebook, “Thanks for the great service and for always remembering my drink order even before I get there!” Congratulations on the anniversary Grants Pass!

Also to celebrate noteworthy anniversaries this summer is The Human Bean of Lake Havasu City, Arizona and The Human Bean of Seaside, Oregon. The northern Lake Havasu City location is thankful for 10 great years and can’t wait to celebrate such a milestone with their recently opened 2nd location on the south-side of town.

The Human Bean of Seaside celebrates 8 wonderful years mid August this year. Seaside franchisees couldn’t be prouder of the community involvement they’ve established in Seaside and are bringing their same lively spirit to their Warrenton location which opened last October. “We try to separate ourselves by really standing out as a supporter of the community,” said Seaside franchisee. Another successful year in business proves their efforts are appreciated, congratulations Seaside!

Concerts in the Park Sponsorship

It may have been 106°, but The Human Bean brought The Breeze to Concerts in the Park in Southern Oregon.

baristas

The Human Bean is a proud sponsor of Jackson County’s weekly concert series called Concerts in the Park coordinated by Medford Parks & Recreation. Last week, they pushed their sponsorship even further by providing free iced tea to those attending the concert. Featuring their sweet summertime iced tea called The Breeze, HB baristas served overheated concert enthusiasts refreshing green iced tea sweetened with a splash of lemonade and raspberry.

Everyone who tried The Breeze had nothing but great things to say and the community event  was a huge success overall. The Human Bean takes pride in the active role they play within the community and they look forward to supporting similar events in the near future.

Giving Back in Treasure Valley

For the third year in a row, Treasure Valley Human Bean locations raised funds and awareness for a local and worthy children’s cause called the Jayden DeLuca Foundation!

donation totalThe Cause
The Jayden DeLuca Foundation was established in 2008 in honor of Jayden Riley DeLuca, a 2 1/2 year old little girl who passed away due to a cardiac condition. Her parents, Jeremy and Karalie Deluca, believe that Jayden made such a positive impact on the world and it is only fitting that The Jayden DeLuca Foundation do the same in her honor.

JDL dy  JDLDonation Day
On Friday, June 26th, all 5 Human Bean locations in the Treasure Valley region donated 30% of their daily SALES, not just proceeds, to the Jayden DeLuca Foundation. The donations raised by this event will provide support and technological progress in the development of pediatric heart conditions. Thank you to all who supported Jayden DeLuca Foundation by generously donating or purchasing a tasty beverage on June 26th. With your support, The Human Bean of Treasure Valley raised $3,100 for the Jayden DeLuca Foundation.

Tennis Sponsorship Supports Community

The Human Bean proudly sponsored the 19th annual Tennis Championships held at the Rogue Valley Swim and Tennis Club on June 12-14, 2015. The Tennis Championships is a community fundraising event dedicated to supporting children in the community of Jackson County.

In fact, ALL profits raised from this event were donated to a local non-profit Parks & Recreation Foundation. This worthy foundation supports enrichment programs for youth and adults as well as aids in the development of community projects and parks. The money raised from the Tennis Championships will be specifically given as sports scholarships to local children who would otherwise be unable to participate.

The Human Bean believes in giving back to the communities they serve and plan on sponsoring additional fundraising events benefiting local residents in the future.
