Warrenton, Oregon Location New Owner

Warrenton, Oregon location new owner, Alisa Trotter, took over operations on September 1st. The Warrenton location was previously owned by Adam and Kristi Israel since 2007.

Kristi Israel had this to say of their departure in a recent Facebook post.  “Adam and I just want to take a moment to thank all of our loyal customers over the last eleven years. I am happy to announce that Alissa Trotter will be taking over ownership of the Warrenton Human Bean as of September 1st. Please stop in and say hi, she is eager and excited to start this new adventure.”

Alissa Trotter comes to The Human Bean with previous coffee business experience.  She was employed by The Human Bean from 2010 through 2016.  She originally started as a barista.  She then worked her way up to a position in the corporate office where she handled marketing tasks such as social media, sponsorship events and even helped to open a new location.  Through all of this she says, “My heart kept pulling me back to the stands.” She feels that, “it’s a privilege to have the opportunity to make someone’s day brighter in a small way such as a genuine smile, a delicious drink or a ‘Good Morning’.”  Trotter continues, “The support I’ve received so far from corporate has been incredible. I am proud to be a part of this amazing brand that takes care of each other like family.  Giving back to the community I serve is important to me.  I look forward to making a positive impact in Clatsop County. They have already given me such a warm welcome too.”

The Human Bean Franchise

The Human Bean’s commitment to developing the best drive-thru espresso led us to franchising The Human Bean’s brand and system in 2002. The Human Bean has now expanded to 79 locations in ten states. They expects to continue this growth through approved franchisees.  They plan to open several more locations in the near future.

In September, the Warrenton location will be showing their appreciation to teachers and faculty with $2 drinks on Thankful Thursdays.  And on 9/11, they will be giving free 16 oz. drinks to all first responders.  In additional to regular donation and appreciation days they will continue sponsorship opportunities such as the Seaside Basketball Tournament that has previously been supported by the Israel’s over the years.

“From barista to marketer, to now being a franchisee – this journey has been more than I could have ever dreamed possible and I am beyond grateful for this opportunity,” say Trotter.  “Please swing by to say hello – I’ll be working alongside the team of friendly baristas at the Warrenton location and can’t wait to meet you all.”

The Warrenton location is at 1526 SE Discovery Lane in Warrenton, OR 97146.  Their hours will be 4:45am – 8pm daily. You can find them on Facebook at @HumanBeanofWarrenton and on Instagram at @humanbeanwarrenton.

Newly Opened Locations

The Human Bean has two newly opened locations!  These two beautiful franchised locations opened this month in two new cities in Oregon; Warrenton & Wilsonville. Both Human Bean drive-thru locations received a warm welcome from their customers and surrounding businesses. Human Bean franchisees are happy to be open and can’t wait to get involved and give back to their respective communities.newly opened locations

Warrenton, OR

The Human Bean of Warrenton opened on October 4th and is the second Human Bean location opened by franchisees Kristi and Adam Israel. “We love being a part this franchise,” said Kristi, “It was important for us to be a part of a successful brand and The Human Bean has done a great job growing their business. ” She shared that her experience opening Warrenton was much smoother than anticipated. “We really knew what to expect after successfully running our Seaside location for seven years,” said Kristi.

Unique from their first location in Seaside, The Human Bean of Warrenton is located in a fast growing retail area. Kristi says they are prepared to be busier than ever and are excited to grow with the busy business district.

Community involvement is highly important to Warrenton franchisees, Kristi and Adam. “We try to separate ourselves from other local coffee stands by really standing out as a supporter of the community,” said Kristi. They are planning to participate in Warrenton community events the same way they also did in Seaside. They are ready to invest their time and resources to represent The Human Bean in a positive light.

Wilsonville, OR

Only 4 short days later and nearly 100 miles northeast of Warrenton, The Human Bean of Wilsonville was opened by franchisee, Josh Veentjer, on October 8th. This location marks the first of many as Josh plans to grow The Human Bean into a multi-unit franchise.  This would all be within the Portland metropolitan area. “Wilsonville is a very nice community and having only been open for two weeks, we are off to a strong start,” said Josh.

The Human Bean of Wilsonville is unique. Instead of having two drive-thru windows, it features an innovative single sided drive-thru, plus order station and menu board. “The single-sided design allowed for greater flexibility situating the building on the lot.  We also had the opportunity to offer an inviting expanded patio for our customers,” said Josh. Wilsonville is only the second Human Bean to operate with this new design; Our corporate store in Newberg, Oregon was the first.

Our warmest congratulations to these newly opened locations and also to our franchisees Kristi & Adam and Josh for successfully opening their locations in Warrenton and Wilsonville. We are so happy to have you on our team!  We also can’t wait to see where you bring The Human Bean next!
